In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Quran: Chapter 5 ‘Wal Muhsanaat’, Sura: 4 ‘An-Nisa’ ‘The Women’, Verse 144-147
Verse 144: O you who believe! Take not for Auliya, protectors or helpers or friends, disbelievers instead of believers. Do you wish to offer Allah a manifest proof against yourselves?
Verse 145: Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depth (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them.
Verse 146: Except those who repent (from hypocrisy), do righteous good deeds, hold fast to Allah, and purify their religion for Allah (by worshiping none but Allah and do good for Allah’s sake only, not to show off), then they will be with the believers. And Allah will grant the believers a great reward.
Verse 147: Why should Allah punish you if you have thanked (Him) and have believed in Him. And Allah is Ever All- Appreciative (of good), All- Knowing.
Notes by samia2010oct: One must always confide in believers so one must always try to take believers as protectors, helpers, and close friends (close meaning so close so as to ask for advises and opinions). There are many people one meets during course of life. One may have nonbeliever neighbors, or colleagues, or companions in travel, or any other relations, so one has to keep good manners with non believers but must not discuss one’s problems with them because only a believer knows how to tackle the problem in a believing way. It will be better if a believer increases his own knowledge about his beliefs or may ask a scholar for the solution of his/ her problems. One is encouraged to remember the Holy Quran and the traditions of the Last Prophet PBUH so one is able to find solutions him/ her-self.
Hypocrites are people who have the knowledge of religion but do not have the will and strength of character to act upon it. They will be in the most torturous fires in the depths of Hell. It is Big Sin, Gunaah e Kabira, to take guidance, advice and opinion of non believers where Allah has given Devine Guidance about that situation. For Big Sins, Gunaah e Kabira, there is the punishment of unbearable burning of whole body by Unending Fire.
